I received this from another Admin this morning.
Please pass this along, I found it on my computer also.

Hi Members~
Thought you may want to read this email I got from one
of your fellow members.

I've just had my egold account hacked and I've finally
found out how it's being done to a lot of people.

There is a trojan virus being spread and if you have it
you'll have the file gdiwxp.dll This file doesn't show
up in any virus checks until a new update of Norton today.
It copies your log-in to egold then it empties your account
at will.

One symptom of it is that when you try logging in to
egold you get kicked out due to wrong info, sometimes
only once but other times 2 or 3 times.
Please let your people know about this. It only got me
for $5.20 right after you paid me. But I'm sure there are
people out there that stand
to lose a lot more than that including YOU!
The file is usually found in C:\\Windows\system32\

Norton Antivirus will pick this file up as a virus now
but it can't be
deleted by Norton or yourself. But it's not protected
from a name
change. I changed the name to gdiwxp2.dll and then could
delete it. If it
still won't delete after the name change reboot and then
delete it.

Oldfund Inc Disappeared?

Update: 22/4/06. Seems like they're still gone. Well, time to move on.

Oldfund is not online and not paying for the past few days. Another HYIP gone or is it hackers' activity?
A discussion thread on talkgold related with this issue The owner of this program, with the username of oldman said that they're getting banned from their ISP.
This was what he explained :
Hello my friends Bad things happened. Some bad guys send e-mails with our URL. Datacenter of our hosting provider received many abuse requests and all this letters was treated as SPAM.
This letters was sent from unknown address (not from our address) but datacenter decided to close our website. Our clients knows that we don't sent any SPAM letters! They closed our site and removed all our databases without any rights to restore them At this databases stored all information about members, deposits, earnings and payouts.
You know that Oldfund worked honestly but when that accident happened we can't continue our work We don't know what we can do for you I and our team do an apologies. We're so sorry ..

Hopefully they can act fast and restore their database asap and we can earn again.

Ok, I am not going to share with you about any programs that have been making me money here. Anyway, exactly how to make money with HYIP?
First of all, make thorough research in any HYIP that you intend to join.
A penny saved is a penny earned :)
Instead of joining every single HYIP that you know, make sure you narrow down the list to the most reliable programs that is online.
So, one of the way to know which is the programs that are paying money, you can and should join forums where people discuss about HYIP.
There are 3 most well known forums that you can join intially, they are TalkGold.com, GoldenTalk.com and HYIPDiscussion.com. Other investors will gladly share their experience and discuss about HYIP programs that are making them money or the ones that are not.
And my suggestion is not to spam the forums with your referral links. Or you can kiss that HYIP forums good bye in no time :)
You should also split your investments. I think the saying that says "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" is true.

I was quite shocked to see hyip.us.com is gone. Is it another scam hyip?
If that is so, I think it's a bit funny because they're online just for a short while.
Let's wait for another 2 to 3 days before I finalise whether they're scam or not.

How's my HYIP quest going on?

Ok, I am no expert in this HYIP, but I do extensive research about HYIPs.
The first time I was exposed to HYIP was during my uni life. But due to limited resource, I didn't focus that much into HYIP inspite of all the hype about it at that time.
Ok, there are so many so called get rich quick scheme out there, which I am not interested to talk about.
Let me assure you. They're not all are what they're saying. And HYIP is not an easy place to be rich if you don't have the right knowledge :)
If all the programs are really paying big money, I am sure I would have joined each and everyone of HYIP programs that existed. But that is not the case.
There is some truth in the saying, only spend what you can afford to lose. I hope there will be no one that bet their monthly rent to get instant cash in HYIP.
Because, you might not get back your investment.
Ok, there are a few programs though that I have been trying for quite some time and they're really paying me money. Until today. But I am not sure about tomorrow, and the day after that. Because HYIP come and go.
So, let's check out my favourite list.
